Classic, Elegant, Vintage: a Ferguson Wedding | St. Louis Wedding Photographer

Being part of Katie and Danny’s wedding and documenting the day as it happened was such an honor for me. Meeting Katie felt like talking to an old friend. Her super sweet, fun and laid back nature are all elements in a person that I spark with. I can see why her and Danny are a perfect fit for each other.

Their wedding took place in Ferguson, MO at Blessed Teresa of Calcutta. The inside of the church is beautiful and I really loved learning some of the history of this over 100 year old church. What a special church to be a part of and even more to get married in!

Outside of the church gathered some extended family to “tail-gate” and watch the wedding on their computers through live streaming to avoid adding extra people inside the church. It was incredible to see how many people gathered outside to show their support.

Once the ceremony was over, a horse and carriage picked up the couple and took them for a ride making a few stops along the way. One to include Paul’s Market, a Ferguson treasure that holds special meaning to the family. A meat market plus small market where everyone knows their name. The meat there looks amazing and I personally am planning a trip soon to go up there and get some! The reception took place at her mother’s home which I later found out that this is the home her mother grew up in. Seriously SOO extra special to have your wedding reception at the home that has been in your family for ages.

I loved how beautiful the dinner reception was! The mother and her awesome helpers did an AMAZING job setting it all up! It felt so vintage, elegant, simple, classic and over all BEAUTIFUL! I loved all the Fall touches too! The dinner was steak catered by Kenricks. They cooked the steaks on their massive grill and they were AMAZING! All Katie wanted for her day was to have fun, be with the people she loves and have good food! I think all her wedding dreams came true!

To avoid having a big reception, they kept the dinner to family and close friends only. However, people were invited to come by for a parade of sorts to give love to the couple. It was so sweet to see people driving by and sending their love to the couple from their cars.

There was so much love and laughter throughout their day! You can feel how loved they are!
