Abby + Ayo’s Wedding | St. Louis Wedding Photographer

Abby and Ayo’s wedding was filled with lots of emotions….but mainly laughter. I am not sure I have laughed so much at a wedding, or even working on a wedding. I tried my best to narrow down the images for the blog to capture their day, but you will see….there are still a ton! The day was filled with lots of ups and downs. Heath bonked the drone into a power line, I dropped a camera, and the bridal party ran away. Yes, that’s right, a real life Runaway Bridal Party. They eventually came back after they decided to drive through White Castle. Lol.

With all the ups and downs of the day, I still have never seen a happier bride and groom. I get chills and tears just thinking of how happy Abby and Ayo were on their wedding day. There was not a glimmer of stress….well, except when the bridal party ran away for awhile. But even with that, they remained cool and calm. They were just having a great time because it was their wedding day…..their BEST DAY EVER! Not much could really phase these guys!

I began the day with the girls at the Maplewood Beauty Bar, and Heath went to the Marriot to hang with the guys while everyone was getting ready. The wedding was at St. Mary Magdalene in Brentwood, which is a grand old beautiful church. I loved the historic details, dramatic lighting and stained glass windows. Even though, the couple did a first look at the church before the ceremony, Ayo still got a little choked up watching Abby walk down the aisle. I loved his expression seeing her!

The ceremony was beautiful, and after we headed outside to take photos. It was really hard not to take photos of the constant shenanigans. The wedding party was soooo wild, funny and awesome! Abby and Ayo are so lucky to have them for friends and relatives. I sort of want to re-examine my own life and wonder why I don’t have friends as fun as those. lol. Anyway, we took a drive around St. Louis, stopping at the Art Museum and Downtown. We took pictures in Keiner Plaza, where we took their engagement photos, and we headed up to a rooftop to get some skyline photos. It suits them perfectly since they work and hang out a lot in downtown.

After all the pictures, we headed to the Marriott for dinner, cake and one dance….just Abby and Ayo. Their big reception will be rescheduled to next year after things clear up and people are free to dance all together without worry!

We feel extremely honored to have been there to witness these two beautiful souls wed. I am going to start crying again just thinking about their sweet ceremony.
