Jacob and Brooke | Silver Oaks Chateau | St. Louis Wedding Photographer

I must admit that I have been in the thick of Harry Potter here. While working on this wedding, I listened to Goblet of Fire, Order of the Phoenix and I am still on Half Blood Prince. What I really love about Harry Potter, besides most everything, is the beautiful story telling set in the most magical place. While I was at Silver Oaks Chateau I couldn’t help but feel like I was set in a magical castle somewhere, very similar to Hogwarts. Which might be the most magical place of all. But, I will digress from my comparison though of the magical wizarding world, and get to it!

Brooke and Jacob….so sweet…so fun….and so in love! They are seriously the nicest people ever! And I could probably talk to Brooke for hours on end. She is the most compassionate and understanding person. Weather seems to always be a gamble, especially in the Spring in the Midwest. You just never know if it will be 70 and sunny one day and rainy and 50 the next. The weather fluctuates all over the place. Being from here, you just adapt and hope for the best either way! So, despite the rainy chilly day, they really made it the best day ever! And personally, I always feel there’s a bit of magic in having rain on your wedding day.

The ceremony was originally supposed to be outside in front of the big stone fireplace, but had to pivot and move it inside due to the rain. I loved the indoor option even more and thought their ceremony inside with the beautiful tall windows and lovely candle chandeliers with hanging greenery was absolutely dreamy and romantic while it was pouring rain outside. The Officiant was Jacob’s godfather and he definitely was very gifted at being an officiant. This was probably the most heartwarming and hilarious ceremony I have ever been to. I couldn’t tell if people were crying from laughter or pure emotion from witnessing this beautiful couple say “I do!” 🙂 After the ceremony, everyone had a blast celebrating and dancing the night away!

Brooke and Jacob, it was an absolute honor to capture your special day!
