Intimate Backyard Wedding | Edwardsville, Illinois | St. Louis Wedding Photographer

Being a person who prefers simple pleasures and all things homemade over crowded venues and manufactured mass produced items, I would happily say that backyard weddings are the new black.

This year EVERYONE on Earth has had to alter their plans. Kaytelyn and Tyler’s original wedding plan was going to be in a super cute venue in Alton, Illinois, however, due to Covid and all the new restrictions, they had to majorly pivot. They knew no matter what they wanted to be married on August 29, 2020…..even if that meant changing their whole wedding venue to her parents’ backyard.

Personally, I think that their wedding turned out much more special. It felt very intimate, personal and you could feel the love between Kaytelyn and Tyler….a feeling that made everyone a little weepy during their sweet ceremony.

The vibe felt very classy and eclectic. I loved all the personal touches, especially the homemade cake done by Tyler’s grandmother in Mississippi. The food was catered by Mission Taco in a food truck, which was AH-MAZING! I was honestly surprised that they threw this whole backyard wedding together in a little over a week. It was perfect!

Here are a few highlights from the day…
