Katie + Pat...but first, coffee! | Downtown St. Louis Chilly Engagement Session

I don’t even know where to start…..this couple….ohmy! Madly in love and full of laughter and lots of kisses!

Pat has the sweetest little daughter, and she was so awesome to have with us. We started the session on the Hill at their FAVORITE coffee shop, Shaw’s Coffee, which is in an old building that was a bank for a quick cup. Believe the hype….this coffee is PHENOMENAL!

It had rained all day and was super chilly, but that didn’t stop us at all. We went to a few other spots, including the Fire Department, where Pat is a fireman, and even the spot on top of the Angad Arts Hotel where Pat proposed to Katie! It was all soooo sweet and fun!

We did so much spontaneous exploring which was extremely fun for me. Plus, I think we were able to grab some AMAZING shots at our impromptu spots.

Im so excited for their wedding in June! They are so fun to be around and I can only imagine the wedding is going to be so awesome!

Until then,

xo,

Pearl

A 60th and 29th Birthday Party! #birthdaytwins

Home is where love resides, memories are created, friends and family belong and laughter never ends.

I would have to say that the BEST perk of my job is the amazing people I meet.

A few years ago, I photographed a home where I met a very talented photographer. I asked her if she wanted to become a real-estate photographer too and we ended up becoming co-workers for the same real-estate group as well as great friends! She later introduced me to her cousin, Amy and her fiancé, Jerry, who were newly engaged and looking for a wedding photographer. Which then led m to photograph their incredible wedding back in 2017.

Now, 2 years later, I am back to photograph another special event for this family……their Dad’s 60th Birthday! (PLUS Jerry’s 29th Birthday!) #birthdaytwins

Seeing Amy and Jerry again was very special to me, because they now have the sweetest little baby boy! And I must say, getting to be part of watching and documenting people’s lives as their family’s grow might be one of the most special things to me.

This family is just incredible. Every time I have been around them, they are so laid back, loving and full of laughter. Even the forecast of rain didn’t bother this family, they just roll with the punches. But, we were thankful for the little break in the rain we had to grab a few outdoor photos. Whew! The Birthday Party was pretty laid back as well. Bbq, trivia, and cake. Followed by the youngest daughter playing BEAUTIFUL music on the piano!

I really loved being invited in to share and document this special rainy evening.

XO,

Pearl

The best is yet to come.

I love the sort of sessions where things just flow, and my stomach hurts after from laughing so much. I cannot tell you what a blast I had hanging with these two. I also cannot tell you how much hair envy I am having here. Almost glad I don’t have to sit and stare at these photos for hours on end anymore. LOL! No, but really, this girl has the most beautiful hair! ;-)

They drove in from New York! Yep, that’s right, all the way from New York to have photos done out here in beautiful Missouri! I mean, I guess she is from here too, so that helps. Lol. But I still felt incredibly honored that they drove all the way out here, even if they were already going to make the trip.

I love that they are both educators, lovers of dogs and old school rap, and very genuine, good hearted people. Their love and affection towards each other is so sweet and filled me up with all the warm fuzzies.

The end of me working on this session is bittersweet. I loved the session and post processing so much, and feels like I am saying a goodbye to a dear friend. But I am also doing a happy dance now that I can share these images! Because, I am in love with them!!!!!

Kansas Farm Love

When Breann reached out to me, I just knew that we would instantly click. She’s genuine, fun and has the hugest heart.

For her Engagement pictures, they wanted them to be on her Grandparents Farm in Kansas with their dog Sammy. Being a dog person, I really love it when people bring their dogs to sessions.

Being on this farm where generations of her family lived was amazing. I loved hearing a little of the history from her grandmother, and loved that she chose to do her pictures at such a special place.

This all combined with beautiful weather, and the most fun, sweet, playful and full of love couple made for such a magical evening!
